Governor Hogan signed hundreds of bills today, including one to repeal the Maryland State Song. Housing advocates are cheering Mayor Scott’s veto of a bill to provide alternatives to security deposits. The Baltimore City Council takes action on illegal dumping. Plus, thoughts on violence reduction, from the head of the Mayor’s Office of Neighborhood Safety and Engagement.
