The Oscars are on Sunday night, but if you’re a young reader, the Academy Awards of children’s literature was held earlier this month at the mid-winter meeting of the American Library Association in Chicago. Paula Willey is our resident expert on great books for kids, and she joins me this morning to talk about some of the books that won some of the big awards this year. Paula is a librarian at the Parkville-Carney branch of the Baltimore County Public Library. She’s also a library consultant, and she writes about books at her blog, "Unadulterated".
You can find a list of all the 2015 winners that we discussed in the interview, as well as many more, at the I Love Libraries website.
Audio for this segment will be available by the end of the day.
