The Puzzle Of Lingering COVID Symptoms

Hospitalization for Covid-19 can have lasting effects, like fatigue, muscle weakness, even depression. These issues overlap with the lingering symptoms known as “long COVID.” How are doctors rehabilitating patients after severe bouts of the virus? What research is needed into consequences of COVID-19?

We hear insights from intensive-care expert Dr. Ann Parker, who co-directs Johns Hopkins’ Post-Acute COVID-19 Team Clinic.

And from Dr. Melissa Trovato, Director of Rehabilitation at Kennedy Krieger Institute, which runs the Pediatric Post COVID-19 Rehabilitation Clinic.
