How Words Evolve Over Time

The Baltimore Sun

We can agree languages are vast, poetic and often define culture, but they also have limits and rules.  These limits are enforced and augmented by newspaper editors – like Baltimore Sun night content manager, John McIntyre. McIntyre has worked as a copy editor for over 30 years and keeps a blog on grammar called "You don’t Say". He joins host SheilahKast in-studio to discuss how language slowly changes over time.

Audio for this story will be up by the end of the day

Sheilah Kast is the host of On The Record, Monday-Friday, 9:30-10:00 am.
