In the most recent poll gaging support for candidates in the crowded, 13-person race for the Democratic nomination for Mayor of Baltimore, two candidates, State Senator Catherine Pugh and Former Mayor Sheilah Dixon are statistically tied. Businessman David Warnock is about 15 points behind them, and Councilman Nick Mosby is next, with 6% support in a poll conducted about a month ago.
This morning, a debate between some of the leading candidates. After originally agreeing to come, Catherine Pugh has cited obligations in Annapolis as her reason for suddenly declining to appear. So, for the next hour, Sheilah Dixon, David Warnock and Nick Mosby will answer my questions, and questions they may choose to pose to each other. Early voting in this important election begins a week from tomorrow.
