Our tour is the full experience. Over 90 minutes, you’ll learn about the history of Rye Whiskey in Maryland, how (and why!) BSC first started, and where we fit in the pantheon of Maryland Rye distilleries. You’ll get a full production tour, learn about pot distillation, and learn the nuance of blending barrels. Finally, for the main event, you’ll try 4 different barrel finishes of Epoch Rye, and blend them the way you want into your own custom bottle for you to take home.

Dr. Heidi Schreiber-Pan is the founder and executive director of the Center for Nature Informed Therapy. A licensed professional counselor and board-approved supervisor, Dr. Schreiber-Pan is internationally recognized for her expertise in bereavement counseling, as well as the treatment of anxiety disorders, PTSD, OCD, stress reduction, and occupational burnout. Having been a faculty member at Loyola University, Maryland, she has researched resiliency, psychological well-being, and nature-informed therapy. Alongside her successful self-help book, "Taming the Anxious Mind," her latest publication, "The Outside Within: Stories of Nature’s Role in Psychological Well-being," was released in April 2023.
Ntozake Shange's first work and most acclaimed theater piece which captures the brutal, tender, and dramatic lives of contemporary Black women, "For Colored Girls..." offers a transformative, riveting evening of provocative dance, music and poetry and is performed by a cast of seven women characters.

Get ready Frederick! The 2024 Battle of the Bands to benefit THE BOYS & GIRLS CLUB OF FREDERICK COUNTY (BGCFC) returns to the Carroll Creek Amphitheater in historic Downtown Frederick, MD on April 27, 2024. Proceeds from the Battle will help support upcoming BGCFC summer programs and the ongoing critical work of this important local organization. The 2024 Battle of the Bands is presented by: the Goddess Group of Everything, Frederick & Maurer Realty, and M&T Bank.
Six bands will take the stage for prize packages valued at more than $5,000 in all, donated by Frederick Recording Studio and various event sponsors and local businesses. Attendees will also enjoy food and beverages by local vendors along with games and other activities. Attendees will rock out to an opening set by students from the Frederick Let There be Rock School AND a closing set by Cimonti, winner of the 2023 BGCFC Battle of the Bands.
On April 27th, the world’s premier 1 vs 1 dance competition makes it’s return to Baltimore! Dancers from across the U.S. will face off and compete to win the hearts of the crowd. The winners of this city qualifier will advance to the Regional Qualifier in Boston.

Warren Wolf is a multi-instrumentalist from Baltimore, MD. From the young age of three years old, Warren has been trained on the Vibraphone/Marimba, Drums, and Piano. Under the guidance of his father Warren Wolf Sr., Warren has a deep background in all genres of music. Vibraphonist Warren Wolf is one of the hardest swinging virtuosos in all of modern music.

Haidu initially launched this project to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Keith Jarrett’s trio with Gary Peacock and Jack DeJohnette. The Wall Street Journal described Haidu’s tribute as "Buoyant and free like a pent-up spirit released,” while Downbeat Magazine called it, “A stunning and heartfelt tribute.” The new album arrives on the heels of Standards I (2023, Sunnyside Records) which reached #4 in the national radio charts.

Hannah Mayer is a 21-year-old pianist and composer from the San Francisco Bay Area. Hannah has been a member of programs including Betty Carter's Jazz Ahead, NYO Jazz and the SFJAZZ High School All-Stars, and was a YoungArts winner in jazz piano and jazz composition. Hannah has performed alongside Chucho Valdes, Sean Jones, Warren Wolf, Etienne Charles, Melissa Aldana, Tim Green, and Sharel Cassity, among others. In 2018, she was the composer and music director for a 30-minute musical adaptation of Ray Bradbury’s “All Summer in a Day,” and loves incorporating music from the Broadway repertoire into an improvisational context. Hannah has also worked as an accompanist for various ballet schools and companies.
Robert Gilliam is a Dallas-born saxophonist and composer. He spent his formative years as a classical cellist and picked up jazz saxophone at age 15. Since 15, he has been primarily a saxophone player and music producer, with a passion for the progression of Black American Music. He has toured with both Bobby Watson and Bobby Broom and performed with artists such as Sean Jones, Tim Green, Brandon Woody, Fredrick Sanders, Frank Lacy, Ameen Saleem, Quincy Phillips, Kris Funn, Marshall Gilkes, and Christian McBride.
