YORK ROAD TO HOST INAUGURAL “HEART OF THE 4TH” MUSIC & ARTS FESTIVAL ON JULY 19
The York Road Improvement District, in partnership with the Office of Baltimore City Councilman Mark Conway (4th District), will present the first-ever Heart of the 4th Music & Arts Festival on Friday, July 19, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
The free, family-friendly street festival will transform a half-mile stretch of York Road from Belvedere Avenue to Bellona Avenue into a vibrant pedestrian corridor celebrating the culture, creativity, and community of North Baltimore’s 4th District.
The name “Heart of the 4th” references both the location in the geographic center of Baltimore’s 4th Council District and the community-centered vision of the event: to bring neighbors, artists, entrepreneurs, and performers together in celebration of North Baltimore’s unique identity and momentum.

The Hunt Valley Wind Ensemble, in partnership with Baltimore County Recreation and Parks, is proud to present Maryland Community Band Day 2025, a free, family-friendly festival celebrating the vibrant community band scene across the state.
Set for Saturday, July 19, from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM at scenic Oregon Ridge Park, this annual event brings together seven community bands from across Maryland for a full day of live music, camaraderie, and outdoor fun.
Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets and settle in for a day of great music under the summer sky. Local food trucks will be on-site with delicious offerings throughout the day.

Lighthouse Point Marina Celebrates Christmas in July with Food Drive for Local NonprofitDon your favorite Santa hat, grab your bag of canned goods, and stop by Lighthouse Point Marina for a fun event benefiting a local nonprofit. On Saturday, July 19 from 1-9 p.m., Lighthouse Point Marina, in partnership with the newly opened Pusser’s Restaurant, will host a Christmas in July event, that includes a canned goods drive to benefit Soup for the Soul nonprofit. There will be a boat decorating contest, live music from 5-9 p.m., a Christmas carol sing-along and food and drinks available at Pusser’s Restaurant on their inaugural weekend!
SODELO, Southern Delaware's own orchestra, presents "A Summer Celebration of America's Music," featuring works by beloved American composers on Saturday, July 19th at 3 PM at Milford High School, 1019 N Walnut Street, 19963. This is the orchestra's debut at this venue, the first public high school in Sussex to offer string education. The Milford High School venue concert is free to veterans, teachers, and students. Other tickets are $25.
These performances will be under the baton of guest conductor Stephen Czarkowski, an internationally recognized conductor and cellist. Soprano soloist Dr. Makeda Hampton, who has appeared at the Metropolitan Opera and the Lyric Opera of Chicago, will also be featured. The program includes works by some of America's greatest composers, including Irving Berlin, Aaron Copland, George Gershwin, Richard Rogers and John Williams.
