- Coastal Conservation Association of Maryland (local non-profit) will be on site to share information on their cause and how vital these bivalves are to the health of the Bay.
- Manor Hill Pizza Trolley will be open with brick-oven Neapolitan pizzas, salads, snacks, novelty ice creams, and more!
- Live Music from John Benjamin in the Courtyard from 1-4pmMost of the activities will take place from 12-4pm (or later if we're having a good time!), but the Farm will be open until 7pm. No tickets needed, just come and enjoy the day!
In addition to Longline Oyster Stout, the Farm & Taproom will have 13 farm-brewed beers (+ our hard seltzer) on draught and multiple options in cans available to go. Persian-American poet and scholar Fatemeh Keshavarz joins pianist and composer Adrienne Torf come together to make a new piece of opera-theater that fuses Faure’s Requiem, jazz elements, and Brechtian theatrical traditions in a powerful contemplation of the human experiences contained in “female incarceration in America.” This extended poem-opera sheds light on the lives and resilience of women in the U.S. prison system, their hopes, dreams, fears, and day to day experiences, offering a voice to a population often overlooked. Elizabeth Mondragon, Carly Ozard, Shana Oshiro, Louisa Wacott, Melissa Wimbish, and Judy Yannini join the composer herself, leading a Weill-esque instrumental ensemble from the piano, to animate the important original work.
