The People's Party: Music, Health, & Community in Baltimore

The People's Party: Music, Health, & Community in Baltimore

Come out for a FREE, outdoor concert event in Eager Park in Baltimore's historic Middle East neighborhood featuring Gisele Jackson and Club 54 (classic soul, funk, disco/dance), best selling author D. Watkins, and Baltimore MCs Son Brave and Rodney Jay. Between acts representatives from Baltimore community organizations will share information about their advocacy work and ways that you can get involved to promote community health and well-being. These include Fayette Street Outreach, BRACE (Baltimore Redevelopment Action Coalition for Empowerment), OWEL (Older Women Embracing Life), and more.

In addition, representatives from Johns Hopkins' School of Public Health, Center for Social Concern, and others will share information about community health resources. These include community-based learning opportunities, sexual health supplies, informational brochures, and other community-university collaborations. We hope to strengthen and contribute to collaborations between Johns Hopkins affiliates and community members by amplifying grassroots organizers and their efforts to advance health equity.

Food trucks will be onsite for folks to purchase food at their discretion. There will also be entertainment for children and adults. Please join us!

Registration is strongly encouraged but not required to attend the event. See you there!
