Loyola’s Bunting Peace and Justice Speaker Michael Loadenthal, Ph.D.
Loyola University Maryland will hold its annual Bunting Peace and Justice Speaker Series, which brings leaders, scholars, and activists to Loyola to address timely issues at the intersection of peace and justice.
Michael Loadenthal, Ph.D., will present “Anti-fascism and Movement Repression: Exploring Social Movements and Policing.” He is a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Cincinnati. He serves as the executive director of the Peace and Justice Association at Georgetown University, which brings together academics, educators, and activists to explore alternatives to violence and share strategies for peacebuilding, social justice, and social change. He is also executive director of the Prosecution Project, a research platform that tracks and analyzes felony criminal cases involving political violence in the United States.
