Hogan Urges Trump To Accept Election Results

YouTube

Gov. Larry Hogan is calling on President Donald Trump to acknowledge that he lost the election. He made the comments on CNN’s State of the Union Sunday.

Hogan was asked by CNN’s Jake Tapper whether Trump should concede the election.

“He ought to at least acknowledge that he will, even if it may take a few more days for, you know, cooler heads to prevail, and to convince him that it's the right thing to do for the nation,” Hogan said.

He said he hopes Trump and his campaign eventually “do the right thing.”

Hogan also said he has not seen any evidence of voter fraud or other voting irregularities.

“A couple of Republican governors are the ones responsible for a couple of the states that are still in question,” Hogan said. “They haven't questioned the results.”

In a tweet Saturday morning, Hogan was among the first Republican officials to congratulate President-elect Joe Biden.
