Today, it’s another in our series, Midday on Higher Education, in which Tom sits down with the presidents of Maryland colleges and universities to talk about the challenges that their institutions face, and how those institutions are connected to the fabric of the communities in which they are located.
Dr. Freeman A. Hrabowski III, the President of the University of Maryland Baltimore County, is our guest. Dr. Hrabowski has led UMBC since 1992, and he’s been collecting national accolades ever since. U.S. News & World Report named him one of America’s Best Leaders. Time Magazine called him one of the 100 most influential people in the world. UMBC is among the nation’s top research universities; it’s also a national leader in inclusiveness and academic innovation.
