Inside Baltimore's War Room and the Fight Against Human Trafficking

It’s been about a month since federal agents joined the city’s so-called War Room -- a round-the-clock effort to quell the violence on Baltimore’s streets. How has that partnership impacted the crime surge? How are federal investigators working to halt the impact of gangs, like the Black Guerilla Family? Today on Midday, we welcome Rod Rosenstein, the U.S. attorney for Maryland, whose office is closely monitoring the city’s ongoing crime wave and prosecuting some of the most violent offenders at the federal level. We'll also discuss another pressing topic, human trafficking. Our guests: Amelia Rubenstein, a social worker who has aided victims of trafficking in Maryland for years, and Maryland State Police Cpl. Chris Heid, who works in the state police Child Recovery Unit, where half of the workload is focused on human trafficking.
