Light City Baltimore is underway. For the first time, the streets and sidewalks of the Inner Harbor and several adjacent neighborhoods will be illuminated with light art and light infused performances. Tom talks with Jamie McDonald, the chair of the committee behind this event, about the concept behind the Light City festival, and what Baltimore can expect from this week-long extravaganza of art, music and innovative ideas.
Then, another installment of our Living Questions series. Imagining Justice calls on thought leaders from the Christian, Jewish and Muslim faiths to address the notion of justice in Baltimore from a spiritual perspective. The series is the brain child of The Institute for Islamic Christian and Jewish Studies (ICJS). I’ll speak with Jewish Scholar Mark Gopin who’s presenting his lecture next week.
Plus: theater critic J. Wynn Rousuck reviews the chilling futurist drama, Marjorie Prime, at the Olney Theatre Center through April 10
And Tom sits down with Jeff Richardson, the executive director of Mosaic Community Services. It’s a community-based non-profit organization that offers health services to more than 25,000 people in the Baltimore region who are struggling with mental illness and addiction.
