Plank's Home On Hold (BBJ Story)

The Baltimore Business Journal

Under Armour Inc. CEO Kevin Plank's 35,000-square-foot estate being built in the bucolic, rural Green Spring Valley is on hold. Work on the eight-bedroom mansion on 65 acres in Brooklandville has ceased and workers have refilled a deep hole excavated for the estate in 2015 and covered it with a large tarp, according to the Baltimore County Office of Permits.

Plans for the Greenspring Valley Road mansion fascinated and irked some nearby residents because of its size and scope in the affluent suburb. If built, it would be among the largest homes in Maryland. When asked to comment on the estate, Tom Geddes, CEO of Plank Industries, the umbrella group for Plank's investments, said in an email, "Kevin is focused on Under Armour, and won’t be commenting on his personal home."
