Boshell Lecture Series: Curious Etruscan Mirrors
Boshell Lecture Series: Curious Etruscan Mirrors
Have you ever wondered how ancient mirrors worked 2,300 years ago? As part of the exhibition Objects of Curiosity: What Will We Discover?, visitors can join us as we investigate an Etruscan mirror in Studio One West. Dr. Alexandra Carpino, a scholar of Etruscan art and culture and Professor of Art History at Northern Arizona University, will share her knowledge of the history and use of mirrors in pre-Roman Italy as a foundation for a conversation with Roz Kreizenbeck, Manager of Gallery Experience & Interpretation, and Dr. Lisa Anderson-Zhu, Associate Curator of Ancient Mediterranean Art.
