Hogan Administration Cancels Plan To Cut MTA Bus Service

AP/Julio Cortez

A victory today for transit advocates, and Baltimore residents who must rely on public transportation.

The Hogan administration has cancelled the highly criticized plan to severely slash MTA bus service in the region next year.

The plan announced this summer would have eliminated 25 MTA bus lines and reduced service on a dozen others.

Critics said the reduced bus routes would also be hardship on school children in the city, since Baltimore has very few yellow buses.
