The Good News-American Engineering Success Story: Naia Butler-Craig

Careers in the STEM are challenging. But STEM careers are today offering all women the opportunity to become an engineering scientist and an industry leader. The GOOD News is Dr. Naia Butler-Craig is the founder of Black Girls in STEM that advocates and encourages young women to consider taking advantage of the growing and expanding opportunities in the field of engineering.

Dr. Chavis is African American civil rights leader and icon, United Church of Christ (UCC) ordained minister, author, journalist, organic chemist, environmentalist, global entrepreneur, and currently President and CEO of the National Newspaper Publishers Association (NNPA) based in Washington, DC since 2014.
