Dr. Tatiana Sanses

Dr. Tatiana Sanses is a member of the division of Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery in the department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences at the University of Maryland.

Dr. Sanses is board certified both in Obstetrics and Gynecology, as well as Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery. She serves as an assistant professor of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences at University of Maryland School of Medicine.

She received her medical degree from Belarussian State Medical University, Minsk Belarus. After completion of her training in Belarus, Dr. Sanses completed her internship in Internal Medicine at Howard University Hospital, an internship in Obstetrics and Gynecology at North Shore University Hospital, and a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Georgetown University Hospital.

She completed a fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at Greater Baltimore Medical Center. Prior to joining the division at University of Maryland, Dr. Sanses served as an assistant professor at Case Western Reserve University, department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She also was a medical director of Urology Institute at University Hospitals Richmond Medical Center, A Campus of UH Regional Hospitals. Dr. Sanses is a principal investigator and co-investigator in several trials funded by NIH and American Urogynecologic Society to study surgical treatment in pelvic organ prolapse, painful bladder syndrome, myofascial pelvic pain, and other pelvic floor disorders.
