Last Day In MD Legislature; Neighborhood Institute; Review: "The Flick"; Ambassador Dennis Ross

Diane Bell McKoy, Karen Stokes

It’s Sine Die today.  The Maryland General Assembly is slated to close up shop for the year tonight.  WYPR’s Rachel Baye joins Tom from Annapolis with an overview of what’s been accomplished so far, and what is likely to get done in the final hours.

And, in another in our continuing series of conversations focused on the one-year anniversary of the violence that erupted after the death of Freddie Gray, Diane Bell McKoy, the Executive Director and CEO of Associated Black Charities and Strong City Baltimore’s CEO Karen Stokes join Tom to talk about what neighborhoods, and neighbors, can do to help Charm City heal.

Theater Critic J Wynn Rousuck reviews The Flick at the Signature Theatre.

Plus, in advance of his appearance on the Baltimore Speakers Series,  US Ambassador and former Middle East Envoy Dennis Ross speaks with WYPR’s Sheilah Kast about major threats to US national security.

Host, Midday (M-F 12:00-1:00)
