Democrats and Republicans are setting the stage for a top-to-bottom overhaul of Maryland’s criminal justice system. We talk with Christoph Shank, the new Head of the Governor’s Office of Crime Control and Prevention, about a movement called “Justice Reinvestment.”
Then, Fort McHenry’s history didn’t end with its big role in the War of 1812. A century later, the fort was a major Army hospital during World War I. The Baltimore School for the Arts has teamed up with the Maryland Historical Society and the National Park Service to create and present three plays set during that war at that very hospital. We talk with students about it.
