Every year the Maryland State Anatomy Board holds a memorial service for all those who gave of themselves to further the cause of medical education and research to improve the lives of Maryland residents and beyond.
From this year forward, the event will be held at Leadership Hall, in the heart of the school of Medicine Campus of the University of Maryland, Baltimore.
Join Afro Charities on Saturday, June 6 for Dreams in Bloom, a fundraiser to support our dynamic organization.
We are thrilled to honor Eddie & Sylvia Brown this year for their longstanding commitment to supporting Baltimoreans' dreams.
Share a joyful afternoon with the Browns, honorary chairs Asma Naeem and Kali-Ahset Amen, the Afro Charities team and board, and our annual fundraiser committee: Claye Murphy, Dana Cole, Rashida Bumbray and Jessica Jennings.
The afternoon will include delicious food and drinks, lively music courtesy of DJ Styles Bond and excellent company as we celebrate the upcoming opening of the Martha E. Murphy Research Institute (MEMRI).
All proceeds from this event go towards Afro Charities' operating costs — the staff salaries, archival supplies, and program expenses that help us bring the AFRO Archives to the people.
Valet parking will be available. The dress code is colorful, festive cocktail attire. Cece's is ADA accessible.
