Celebrate this Diamond Anniversary at the Seventh Annual International Poe Festival and Awards over Poe’s death weekend October 4-6
FREE Family-Friendly Festival has Become Largest Gathering of Poe Fans in the World!
Don your favorite mourning dress and Celebrate the 75th Diamond Anniversary of the Edgar Allan Poe House & Museum, an internationally recognized cultural gem. The 7th Annual International Edgar Allan Poe Festival and Awards (Poe Fest International), presented by Poe Baltimore, takes place on October 4-6, 2024. Three days of programming are planned: bus tours, exhibits, and Movie Night Reception are Friday October 4, and the street festival opens October 5 & 6 11:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. at Poe Park in front of Poe House, located at 203 N. Amily Street. This FREE, family-friendly event includes Poe-themed vendors, exhibits, live readings and performances, special tours, local food and drink and a POErade costume contest (Saturday Only) as well as the unveiling of the winners of the Saturday “Visiter” Awards, an honor celebrating Poe’s legacy in art and literature. Additional ticketed events include The Black Cat Ball & 75th Anniversary Diamond Gala, Red Masque Movie Night tribute to Vincent Price and Roger Corman, a Bloody Mary Brunch (Sunday Only), and the NEW exhibit “Poe, Revolution & The Marquis de Lafayette” and cemetery tour at Westminster Hall where the author is buried. Poe Fest International is made possible by a grant and sponsor funding from Wells Fargo, La Cite LLC, RavenBeer and several others.
