La Sonora is taking over Library Nineteen to bring you CUEVA DE LA CUMBIA - an underground cumbia fest featuring Yeison Landero, San Jacinto’s heredero de la cumbia, bringing live cumbia sabanera straight from Colombia to the dancefloor and continuing the musical legacy of his grandfather, the legendary Andres Landero. Joining the lineup are Soroche, a Baltimore-based band mixing cumbia, ska, punk, and folk with tambora, poetic lyrics, and a rebellious energy that transmogrifies modern and traditional sounds into a cultural border-crossing danceable alchemy and La Bodoquita, a Mexican-American vinyl selector DJ known for eclectic, all-vinyl sets across cumbia, Latin American rock, soul, and doo-wop. She’ll be spinning all-vinyl sonidera selects to keep your body moving.
