A FREE festival for the whole community in celebration of the 50th Anniversary of The Baltimore Folk Music Society, a nonprofit organization. 9 terrific music, dance and storytelling acts on the main stage, plus areas devoted to jamming. Outside food trucks, face painting, crafts, Morris dancing, Madrigal singing, picnicking, storytelling and more. Whether you like Klezmer music, Irish Music, Old Time Music, clogging and step dancing, there is something for everyone!
The celebration starts on Friday night at R house with 4 hours of old time, Irish and French Canadian jamming. A day of dancing at Lovely Lane, 2200 St. Paul on Saturday. Saturday begins with a Community/Family Dance from 1:30-3:30. All events are free, with donations welcome. www.bfms.org/bfms50.php
