Midday with Dan Rodricks

The super typhoon Haiyan, which crashed into the Philippines earlier this month and caused unprecedented devastation there, was one of the largest tropical cyclones ever recorded.

And some scientists warn that because of the continued effects of global climate change, these types of storms will become the new normal.  So what is to be done?  Is there a way to actively reverse the effects of global climate change?  And if there is, do the benefits outweigh the costs?  We'll take an in-depth look at the study of geoengineering, or the artificial cooling of the planet.
