Explore the remarkable artistic journey and cultural legacy of Lain Singh Bangdel (1919–2002), widely regarded as the “Father of Modern Art” in Nepal. This collection of paintings—spanning the 1940s to the 1980s— reflects and reframes the cultural, political, and emotional realities of Bangdel’s time and traces his evolving vision as he navigated multiple worlds: colonial and postcolonial South Asia, cosmopolitan Europe, and an emerging modern Nepal.

The Department of Music features the winners of the Talent Award Competition in our annual scholarship recital sponsored by the TU Foundation.

"Resonant Site" is an immersive art installation coming to the Pikesville Armory in April of 2026 (two consecutive weekends). It's a multi-screen audiovisual exhibit exploring the intersection of industry and the environment in Baltimore, where water meets land in the region, by Maryland artist duo Collis Donadio.

Free to attend and open to all. Picnic and family-friendly! Rain or shine (exhibit is indoors). Ample free parking on site.

Welcome to The Program, an immersive week-long experience set to the backdrop of the breathtaking island of O’ahu, where mothers in all stages of crisis can come to take control of their lives. It’s not exactly the type of thing Georgia Evans–a busy working mother of two–would usually consider. However, still spiraling from a debacle that crowned her “internet’s worst mom,” she is desperate enough to try anything.

What’s in store? A story that turns a discerning eye toward society’s view on modern motherhood and reframes “mom brain” as a superpower.

The Vital Perspectives on Healthcare and Science series engages with some of the most pressing public health issues of our time, in a regular public forum catalyzed by a book.

For the April event, we are delighted to welcome Dr. Hanna Garth, Assistant Professor of Anthropology at Princeton University, to share her new book Food Justice Undone: Lessons for Building a Better Movement. Drawing on twelve years of ethnographic research, Garth examines what motivates people from more affluent, majority-white areas of the city to intervene in South Central Los Angeles. Food Justice Undone breaks open the privilege and promise of food justice to envision a radical liberatory future.

Dr. Nicole Labruto will join Dr. Allen in conversation. This event is open to the public, and we encourage you to come even if it’s your first time joining for this event series!
