Get the inside scoop for Maryland Opera’s upcoming New Voices in Opera production with the New Voices Discovery Event. Librettist Jarrod Lee illuminates the origins of the operas Oshun and Kandake as Peter Wood of the Spirit Shop on Falls Road serves craft cocktails inspired by the operas. Storyboards and sketches of the backdrop projections for the performance will be on display and a sneak peek performance from two of the opera’s stars, Anthony Ballard and Christian Simmons, will bring it all to life.
