Hopkins sociologist Karl Alexandertracked a group of 800 Baltimore children, some of the poorest in the city, for nearly a quarter century, and almost his entire career.  He started following the kids when they were six and entering 1st grade. He stayed with them until they were 28, tracking them as they made their way through school and started careers. Alexander launched this project when he was just 10 years into his career. He retires this summer. He reports his findings today on Midday at noon.
