Maryland now has five casinos – fine for those who can gamble responsibly.  But how can compulsive gamblers get help? We ask Lori Rugle and Michael Rosen from the University of Maryland’s “Center of Excellence on Problem Gambling.” Then, the town of Warren was flooded in 1921 to form the Loch Raven reservoir. Poet Ann Kolakowski decided to write about it when she found an old schoolbook of her grandmother's. Plus, Kwanzaa started in the ‘60s as a festival celebrating African-American culture. We talk about Kwanzaa's significance with a student of culture who embraces it and an anthropologist who studies it.
