When dealing with the death of a loved one, daily rituals can maintain our bonds with our loss. Baltimore residents Eleanor Haley and Litsa Williams run a blog called What’s Your Grief that provides resources and support for people grieving the loss of a loved one.

The bloggers have a national reach, including other psychology professionals who use their posts to help grieving patients.

You can read more about continuing bonds theory in the book Continuing Bonds: New Understandings of Grief (Death Education, Aging and Health Care) by Dennis Klaus, Phyllis Silverman and Steven Nickman . The collection of writing about the loss of a child is called  A Broken Heart Still Beats by Anne McCracken and Mary Semel.
