Crepes Crazy Coming to Cross Street Market (BBJ Story)

The Baltimore Business Journal

Sweet and savory crepes will be the latest addition to the vendor mix at Cross Street Market. Crepe Crazy, a Texas-based franchise, will open a new location inside the historic Federal Hill market in September, developers Caves Valley Partners and CANAdev said Tuesday.

The creperie, founded by Vladimir and Inna Giterman in 2007, started out as a vendor at fairs and festivals before adding a food truck. The eatery's first brick-and-mortar store opened in Dripping Springs, Texas, in 2014, and a second followed in Austin in 2015. The Gitermans and their children, Sergei and Michelle, are deaf, and make an effort to hire deaf employees and contractors. The creperie's hearing employees are trained in American Sign Language.
