Airbnb Baltimore Visits Increase in 2019 (BBJ Story)

Airbnb hosts in Baltimore saw more guest arrivals and earned more income than hosts in any other Maryland county in 2019. The city welcomed 131,500 guests and hosts earned $18.5 million — 27% and 24% of the state's guest and revenue totals, respectively. 

Last year, Maryland welcomed 474,600 people, and hosts in the state earned a combined $74.7 million in supplemental income. Compared to the year prior, hosts in both Baltimore and across the state saw upticks in the number of visitors and amount of supplemental income earned. In 2018, Baltimore hosts welcomed 107,700 people and earned $14.9 million, while across the state hosts earned $57 million and saw over 383,000 guest arrivals.
