The Baltimore Business Journal

The $280,000 median sales price for a home in the Baltimore metro area last month was the highest posting for October in 10 years, a new report showed.

The report released Tuesday showed that last month's average sales prices for a home in the region was 8% higher than the same period last year, a sign that the local housing market remains strong with a total sales volume of just over $990 million over 31 days. The report used data provided by MarketStats by ShowingTime based on listing activity from Bright MLS. It is part of a monthly series that shows a snapshot of home sales and residential listings in Baltimore and its surrounding jurisdictions: Baltimore, Howard, Harford, Carroll and Anne Arundel counties. The reports so far this year have shown steady growth and stable prices in the residential market when compared to the same months in 2018 and other benchmarks.
