Ambassador Dennis Ross is counselor at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy and a professor in the practice of diplomacy at Georgetown University. He was President Bill Clinton’s Middle East envoy and served in senior positions in the Reagan, George H.W. Bush and Obama administrations. His most recent book is “Doomed to Succeed: The U.S.-Israel Relationship from Truman to Obama.”
