The Maryland Film Festival kicks off tonight and runs through Sunday. It's 125 films in 4 days. The Festival's Jed Dietz and Washington Post film critic Ann Hornaday give us a preview.
Check out the Maryland Film Festival's schedule at their website. One recent addition to the activities: a panel exploring race that will include The Wire creator David Simon, The Atlantic writer Ta-Nehisi Coates, Pulitzer-Prize winner Taylor Branch, and National Book Award Winner James McBride. The four men are writing the script for a new HBO mini-series about Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., "America in the King Years".
