Heroin overdoses have taken the lives of more and more Marylanders each year for four years - now more than one a day. Last October, Attorneys General in New York and Pennsylvania announced they were creating a multi-state task force to break up heroin distribution networks that stretch along the East Coast. New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman said:
“It will expand our exchange of information by creating a regular, routine, and on-going dialogue including the ability to pass names and aliases of specific suspects… phone numbers, addresses, access to informants, distribution routes and location of stash houses.”
Maryland Attorney General Brian Frosh announced last week that Maryland would join the task force. He joins Sheilah now by phone to talk about it.
