A state commission on fracking has concluded that drilling for natural gas in western Maryland can be done without endangering communities or the environment. It has released recommendations for how drilling should be regulated. They’re now open for comment. Joining Sheilah in the studio to talk about fracking in Maryland is David Vanko. He’s Chairman of that state commission known as the Marcellus Shale Safe Drilling Initiative Advisory Commission. He’s also Dean of the College of Science and Mathematics at Towson University.
