Four weeks ahead of the general election, Democrat Anthony Brown and Republican Larry Hogan met yesterday for their first debate. Questions posed by WJZ-TV and The Baltimore Sun covered education, crime, the environment, immigration and negative campaigning. But, they kept coming back to taxes, state spending, jobs and the economy.
