This July marks the 20th anniversary of Chautauqua, the Maryland Humanities Council’s free living history performance series, where scholars perform as famous people from history and then engage the audience in conversation in character.

2014 will feature three bold artisans: American painter Georgia O’Keeffe, the poet Emily Dickinson, and Mexican artist Frida Kahlo at venues in six counties statewide.  MiMi Zannino, a published poet, author, and teaching artist, who will portray Emily Dickinson, provides insight on this reclusive American poet.
