This is a story about what happens when an autistic boy crosses paths with an electronic music producer. Two unlikely collaborators, James Burrows and Max Bent, have created something together that neither one of them could have achieved alone. They’ve composed a library of songs that offer up a window into James’ mind. Producer Aaron Henkin brings us the story.
Letitia Vansant is a great singer and storyteller. She and her bandmates, The Bonfides (David and Will McKindley-Ward and Tom Liddle) have just put the finishing touches on a new album called Parts & Labor. VanSant joins producer Lisa Morgan.
Some people are natural-born storytellers, and Jason Tinney is one of them. Fellow writer Dave Sheinin says of him: “Tinney writes with a journalist’s eye for detail, a musician’s ear for dialogue, and a poet’s feel for the space in between what we aspire to be and what we are.” Jason Tinney’s new collection of short fiction is called Ripple Meets the Deep, and he visits with producer Aaron Henkin.
