Stories from the Stoop

Stoop.gifFor five years now, Baltimore's storytelling series The Stoop has been selling out theatres and captivating audiences with a remarkably simple formula: Seven storytellers get seven minutes each to stand in the spotlight before a live audience and bare their souls with true, unscripted, personal stories. The results have been everything from hilarious to heart-rending, but always essentially human. WYPR is pleased to announce that the collected recordings from these events are about to begin airing on a new program called Stories from the Stoop, produced and hosted by WYPR's Aaron Henkin. Stories from the Stoop will be a weekly, hour-long broadcast airing Saturday nights at 8 o'clock.
