***THE SIGNAL AIRS FRIDAYS AT 7 PM AND SATURDAYS AT 1 PM***

This week (June 24th & 25th, 2011) on The Signal…

We broadcast Part Two of a special radio series taped in front of live audiences at Center Stage:

The Stoop Says ‘I Do’ - Stories of Holy and Unholy Matrimony

Monisha Cherayil recounts the elaborate rituals of a traditional Indian wedding ceremony; photographer Michael Ivan Schwartz confesses his abysmal success rate when it comes to documenting his friends’ weddings; and high school sweethearts Warren and Gretchen Hensel tell the tale of how they met again and finally married during their Golden Years.

The Stoop’s radio acting team takes on honeymoon horrors, the love life of the beer-swilling centaur Kegasus, and the trials and tribulations of a Hampden entrepreneur known as The Hon Mother.

Plus:  A special musical collaboration between Baltimore’s soul super-group, The Bellevederes, and spoken-word artists Native Son and Femi Tha Drifish of The 5th L.

“The Stoop Says I Do,” is a special co-production of The Signal and The Stoop Storytelling Series.  You can hear all the live shows in their entirety at www.stoopstorytelling.com.
