What’s it like to try and conceive a child as a lesbian? In her candid memoir, author Amie Klempnauer Miller paints a portrait of life as a non-biological lesbian mother, discussing everything from the stress of finding the “right” sperm donor to what it’s like to raise a child as a gay parent in an age where the traditional family unit is starting to change. Miller, the author of, “She Looks Just Like You,” talks about same-sex marriage and the so-called “gayby boom.” This show was originally broadcast February 14, 2012.
