Opa! Greek food is on the menu for this edition of Midday Eats with Hong & Shields. Chefs Henry Hong and John Shields talk gyros, souvlaki, pita, spanakopita, baklava and more. Where can you find the best greek food in Baltimore? And how, for the life of Zeus, do you pronounce “gyro” anyway? Guest host: Melody Simmons

enjoyed your discussion -- back-tracking on comparables made me think that it's worth considering the tamales of Mexico that are cooked in corn husks and Thai rice dishes cooked in banana leaves, even though you don't eat either of those leaves. I think humans probably started cooking food in leaves before there were pots.
