Forty years ago Amtrak was created to relieve struggling freight rail services of their money-losing passenger service. Last month Amtrak reported the biggest ridership in its history. We'll look at whether increased ridership could lead to a railroad resurgence in America? Our guests are Ross Capon (Kay-pon) President and CEO of the National Association of Railroad Passengers (NARP) and Stephen Gardner, vice-president of policy and development for Amtrak.
