Mezzo soprano Magdalena Kožená and pianist Yefim Bronfman perform Sunday night at the Shriver Hall Concert Series. On the program is a new work co-commissioned by the folks at Shriver Hall.
Stephen Jacobsohn, executive director of the series, tells Tom Hall why Shriver Hall has been creating a space for rare chamber music for five decades.
The Czech mezzo-soprano Magdalena Kožená will appear with the Israeli pianist Yefim Bronfman in a program that includes the world premiere of Marc-Andre Dalbavie’s Three Melodies on a Poem by Ezra Pound. They’ll also perform music by Mussorgsky, Ravel, and Bartok. The performance is at 5:30 p.m. at Shriver Hall on the Homewood campus of Johns Hopkins University.
