Renowned grammar guru Mignon Fogarty is back to share tips from her latest book, "Grammar Girl's 101 Troublesome Words You'll Master In No Time." Fogarty guides us through words with double meanings and hard-to-remember spellings, words and phrases that have tripped up even native speakers and convinced many that English is one of the world's most difficult languages.

wreak havoc
Until today I hadn't remembered the word "wreak" pronounced the same as "reek." Guess I was thinking of the work "wreck." So Dan was right on the pronunciation.
Sure wish you would consider the idea to not give out phone number when all lines are taken/busy. It only frustrates us and decreases your broadcast of useful info - counterproductive for sure.

Please comment on William Zinsser's "On Writing Well." I find it much more useful than Strunk and White. Daniel Rozmiarek Bel Air, MD 443.655.6399
