March 20, 2013
The inaugural edition of the Annapolis Film Festival kicks off Thursday, March 21st and will run through Sunday. It will feature more than 90 films: 60 shorts, 23 documentaries, and 10 feature films. One of the films at the festival is High Ground, an emotional documentary about 11 injured veterans climing Mt. Lobuche in the Himalayas. There will also be several panels of experts who will talk about many different aspects of filmmaking and film history.
Co-creative director of the Annapolis Film Festival Patti White and cinematographer for High Ground Gale Browning join Tom Hall to discuss the festival and the making of High Ground.
Same day passes will be available on site at the Festival Central at Loews and Maryland Hall. Single tickets to a block of programming or features may be purchased at the venue.
