Is An App-Driven Car Service The Same Thing As A Cab Company?

We begin our round-up of the month's tech news with the latest on the on-demand car service, Uber. You can use your smartphone to hail a cab and pay for it. But, the service isn't regulated like a cab company. The Yellow Cab Company says that it should be and took their complaint to the Maryland Public Service Commission, which oversees cabs in Baltimore city.
One of the topics President Obama touched on in his State of the Union speech last week was cybersecurity. He's signed an executive order aimed at tightening cybersecurity. We also find out the latest on the Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act.
